i should've watched the game live...

camille & k3n texted me early today to tell me that k3n had 2 extra tickets for todays game. i read the msg during our break, and i so wanted to go that i was trying to come up with an excuse so that our CI will let us, or at least me, out early. i called abet to ask him if we could watch, and he told me that he had to go home early, but i could watch with them if i wanted to.

i thought that our CI will let us out 5pm at the earliest since she said that we'd still have some discussion after our activities with our patients. so i texted k3n that i won't be able make it. at 3.40, she told us that she'd be letting us out a bit early since she had to run to cavite since some distant relative committed suicide or something.

so i texted k3n again and asked if the tickets were still available.

they weren't :(

but i guess that was fine. i mean i was getting a bad headache by that time & i dont think i could watch the game in my uniform. so i went home.

when i got home, it was halfway through the 1st quarter. so i settled into the car seat which i turned into my living room chair (i lost my eyeglasses so i have to sit near the tv when i watch). papa & i were watching the game, pretty much getting into it.

we kept shouting & protesting the ugly calls while i ate my pandesal w/ coco jam (which i bought earlier @ lung center... yumyum!) come 4th quarter, i was already standing up in front of the tv, wishing that i watched the game live...

the game was a classic.

by the time the ref called the backing violation on jc w/ 23 seconds left, papa & i were shoutng at the ref, wanting to hit them. i wanted to throw the tv, or at least throw something at it, hoping it would hit the stupid ref smack on his face. when the espiritu guy made the shot, we were cursing the refs for their stupid calls the entire game. papa & i were saying that if we lost the game, it should be protested (we agreed that it still should be protested even if we win :p)

so we were both standing up close to the tv during the timeout w/ coach black designing a play with a second left. when escalona was about to inbound, i was reciting the hail mary in my head (for the hail mary squad :p) i was actually very nervous since i remembered the ugly pass that escalona made to jai their last game against adamson. but i guess it was his chance to redeem himself fm that error... and redeem himself he did.

that beautiful pass he made to a super wide open kramer is really one for the books. & when kramer made that layup... papa & i were shouting & jumping & giving each other high fives & laughing at basti who always roots for ateneo's opponent (he feels that it's his responsibility, being a la sallian :p)

i suuuuuuppppper wanted to be in araneta earlier. i think i would've cried & hugged & jumped & pushed my friends & we'd be cheering & singing our song for mary until we were hoarse :p

kainis lng, i have a 2-10pm duty on thursdays. i wouldn't be able to watch the game :( i hope i could catch the replay, even just half of it. im expecting the eagles & eaglets to bring home the title & we'd be celebrating in ateneo on thursday :D

abet promised that we'd watch game 3 on saturday if the series reaches a game 3... but im insisting it won't. besides, i don't think i could watch that live if that happened... id have a heart attack :p

so anyway, today's pretty great. i wasn't late for duty, i had yummy breakfast at lung center (the 25pesos bbq+ rice + pansit habhabÜ) i found some yummy cocojam to bring home, i had yummy ponkan for lunch. our CI let us out early enough for me to catch the game... & we'r 1 win away fm being the jrs & srs uaap champs :p hihihihi Ü

which reminds me.. i still havent gotten my diploma. grabe, ang tagal na non a! wala man lang madisplay na ateneo diploma mga magulang ko dito sa bahay namen... tsk tsk...

katuwa ren ung ateneo drumline. wala lng.. kse sobrang naaliw ako when i saw ung movie na drumline... tpos now, when i see the ateneo drumline, astig na ren.. laki na ng improvement since i first saw them... katuwa!

baket ganon, no? when i was still studying in the ateneo, walang drumline. wala pa ung bagong colayco.. & now i read na magkakaron na ren ng kinda sorta shopping center inside the campus na ung stalls, exclusive for ateneans. astig lang...

sana nung nandon pako, may ganon na. ganda sanang org project un. year-long or sem-long, may kinikita ka. steady income, madaling mabawi ang investment basta magaling ka. kesa mag movie premiere o party na kung ano ano na maloloka ka magorganize, tas paspasang pagdarasal para kumita ung event... patok siguro meco one time big time o blue bazaar don.. pero hindi ren siguro. talo ang one time big time once people figure out a way to pile up their plates e. & ung blue bazaar, ewan... hirap maghanap ng concessionaires na sure win ang stuffables.

o khet pang policy. pero i dont think patok ung policy project namen don. talo kame sa rent e. aus na ung ama mall & ung booth sa quad 2 right before xmas break. mahirap ata magbantay in between classes. and gastos naman kng maghire kme ng magbabantay. di pa ganon ka bigtime ang I AM.

falling behind

i finally really attended my ncm class again earlier... after 3 consecutive wks of not attending. 1st 2 wks, we didnt have classes due to some holiday or coz of the fact that our prof was busy. last wk, i went to school but had "class" in the lobby since we had a substitute prof who had a knack for making my mind wander while she's conducting her lecture (read: reading to us what's written on her powerpoint presentation... i could read on my own you know... i passed 1st grade with flying colors! :p) so anyway, since our prof's back, i attended class & actually ended up listening to her quick lecture. oh yeah, we finally had our long exam, and i dont think i did so well since i finished it so fast...

so anyway, i just realized that whatever i blog here gets blogged to my multiply site ren. i forgot all about that. hhmmmmm...

we're so far behind our lecture... we're having our midterms pa lng tuesday next week.. and midterms wk was last week. after midterms, we still have a gazillion systems to discuss.. hay, its gonna be a crazy month and a half!

we won't be having classes again tomorrow since our prof has to be somewhere. instead, we're having a make up class on wednesday. im still thinking about attending since wednesdays are usually my rest days. but i think i would attend since im really falling behind in cardio & thats included in our midterms next week...

i just realized how shallow my life seems ryt now. all i have to do & think about is school, duty, eating, sleeping, watching tv, going out (very seldom na nga e!) i havent spent time with the kadagirls for the longest time. noni & i had a very quick catch up chika earlier.. but that's coz i havent seen her for a month.

i hope our CI's feeling better since i actually miss having "real" hospital duty. our last rotation was in fdm OR, and since we didnt have cases (we don't get to scrub in if we had cases anyway...) i think i actually miss being a "nurse" hahahaha! i can't believe i said that. haaaay, it's just that i feel so idle when i know i should be working my butt off...

but i dont want to complain. baka mamaya biglang toxic nanaman... waaaah! no way... hirap ma toxic e!
